On Our Cover
“Better Days"

Although this Chevy flatbed truck has seen better days, it certainly makes for an interesting and apt subject for our fall edition of Sideroads.
Staff photographer, Cody Storm Cooper was travelling down the old Highway 69 when the rusted truck sitting in a field, just past Highway 141 caught his eye.
On closer inspection the rusted truck with remnants of what would have been a brilliant paint job of sunshine yellow and sky blue fit perfectly with the fall landscape of changing leaves, and plants that were waning as their summer glory days slipped away.
The abandoned truck that was once useful and likely someone’s pride and joy has now found a fresh purpose as found art and a rightful place on the cover of Sideroads of Parry Sound & Area.
Our side roads are filled with visual eye candy and fall is the perfect season to search out new routes and observe mother nature’s work. If you look, you will find beauty in unusual places and build anticipation for even better days in seasons to come.
